22 drug related deaths have been recorded on the Isle of Man in the last five years.
The figures were revealed by the Department of Health and Social Care following a Tynwald question this week.
2014 was the highest figure recorded with nine deaths attributed to poisoning - either accidental, intentional or with 'undetermined intent', assault by drugs or mental and behavioural disorders.
The department says the information was taken from death certificates and the statistics reflect the year of issue of the certificate rather than the person's actual date of death.
