It's intended the driving range at Comis Mount Murray Golf Club would remain open whilst a potential replacement for it is built.
Plans were submitted by the venue earlier this year for a change of use to land which would see the facility relocated and the current structure demolished with the area to then be reinstated with grassland.
The club has since clarified that should the proposals be approved the current setup would remain available for visitors whilst construction of the new complex takes place as it's the only one of its type.
It added the range on the east side of Ballacutchel Road would only be brought down once work on the replacement is complete.
