Driving licences and tests could reflect UK/EU changes

Changes could be made to the Island's Driving Licences and Tests Regulations, subject to Tynwald approval. 

Proposed measures would mean anyone who passes a driving test using an automatic vehicle, can also drive a manual, providing they can already drive a manual in another vehicle category.

It would also mean those passing their driving test in a manual vehicle, can also drive a manual in a vehicle category where they already drive an automatic. 

The proposal would follow the UK and EU, and will be discussed by Tynwald members on April 26.
