A Douglas woman has been banned from the road after getting into her car after a night out.
55-year-old Danita Clark, of Vicarage Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse this week.
She admitted being drunk in charge of her vehicle on June 29.
Police were called to the Sea Terminal car park at 11pm that night after she was seen stumbling near her car.
Officers found her sitting inside - when they asked her to exit she was unsteady on her feet, smelt of intoxicants and had slurred speech.
She failed a roadside breath test and was taken to Police Headquarters - a subsequent blood test showed she would have been over twice the legal limit.
Clark's advocate told the court she'd been on a work night out and couldn't find a taxi adding she simply wanted to shelter in the vehicle and driving wasn't 'in her mindset'.
Magistrates disqualified Clark from driving for three months and ordered her to pay a £500 fine and prosecution costs of £50.
