A teenager from Andreas has been banned from the road after being caught driving with two Class A drugs in his system.
Police stopped 18-year-old Joshua Glynn Kelly, of Cooil Veg, on Mooragh Promenade just before 3am on April 8th.
They noted his Vauxhall Corsa was exceeding the speed limit and was weaving - when Kelly got out of the car he was unsteady on his feet and had white powder underneath his nostril.
He was arrested and taken to Police Headquarters where a blood test revealed he had both cocaine and ecstasy in his system.
Kelly later pleaded guilty to driving whilst unfit.
Sentencing him at Douglas Courthouse on Tuesday Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes fined him £900 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £125.
She also disqualified him from driving for 18 months and until he's taken and passed an extended driving test.
