A Foxdale man who crashed a stolen car with a 12 year old child in it while drink driving will appear before magistrates again in January.
Kyle John Mcgeown of Springfield Terrace admitted four offences when he appeared at Douglas Courthouse this week.
He was charged with taking the car without consent, drink-driving, driving without insurance and without a licence.
All of the offences were committed in the early hours of October 30th.
The court heard Mcgeown had been drinking with a family member in Castletown but when they called him to say they were lost, he took their silver Alfa Romeo without permission and crashed it on Ballakaighan Road shortly after 2.30am.
Police found the 12 year old girl and discovered Mcgeown in the rear passenger seat of a nearby car - a breath test showed he was two and a half times over the legal limit.
The 19 year old pleaded guilty to all charges and was bailed in his own recognisance to the sum of £250.
He'll appear in court again on Thursday, January 5.
