A man could be facing a prison term after being found slumped over the wheel of his car.
55-year-old Nicholas Adam Fleming of no fixed abode appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted being drunk in charge of his Ford Focus on Archallagan Road in Crosby on September 18 - witnesses told police he was "out of it" and tests showed he was almost two and a half times the legal limit.
After hearing he was serving a suspended sentence for breaching a restraining order, magistrates remanded him in custody for sentencing on November 14.
