Police say New Road in Laxey is partly blocked by downed electric railway lines.
They're on scene to help with traffic flow, which is said to be moving slowly, Monday, June 8.
Officers are suggesting people travelling through Laxey should go via Minorca Hill and the Old Laxey Hill instead.
Meanwhile, Isle of Man Railways say Snaefell Mountain Railway services have been suspended until further notice because of a road accident - and so have Manx Electric Railway trams between Laxey and Ramsey.
