Christmas arrives in Douglas this week, with the big lights switch on this Thursday.
Douglas City Council and the City Centre Management promise a month of festive activities and events for all ages.
This Thursday to coincide with the lighting up of the capital there'll be two outdoor cinemas showing Christmas films, a snow garden, a winter wonderland, fire shows, family entertainment, Christmas crazy golf, a Wood n' Craft workshop, and of course a visit from Father Christmas himself.
An estimated 7000 people showed up for the light switch on last year, with similar numbers expected this week.
This Thursday will also mark the start of the weekly late night shopping.
As official media partner 3FM will be hosting the festivities, aswell as switch ons in Ramsey on Friday, Peel on Saturday, Onchan on Wednesday and Castletown on Saturday 2nd December.
