Douglas South MHK Bill Malarkey has announced he'll defend his seat at the upcoming General Election.
He's served in the constituency for the last 13 months - saying he's stood by his promise made in his manifesto then to "hit the ground running".
He says crucial decisions will have to be made on sea services, the impact of Brexit and pension debt saying "our nation belongs to us, the people".
