Douglas lifeboat was called out last night to rescue four stranded people.
The volunteer crew was called out at 11.55pm after a 25-foot motor cruiser suffered engine problems.
The cruiser was on its way from Whitehaven to Douglas but had got into difficulties just a mile away from the harbour.
The boat was then safely towed back into Douglas.
