Douglas RNLI Lifeboat crew were called out last night to help search for a missing person.
The all-weather lifeboat 'Marine Engineer' was sent out into heavy rain to search along the Marine Drive from Douglas Head lighthouse to Port Soderick.
At around 11.45pm the crew was advised by Douglas Coastguardthey could stand down and return to the station, as the missing person had been found.
With a falling tide, the crew say loading the lifeboat back into the station to be washed and re-fueled was light work, and the vessel is ready to be used again.
