A jewellery thief who raided a Douglas jeweller on Friday was riding a stolen motorcycle.
That’s the latest from police who are investigating the robbery which happened on Prospect Hill.
The offender entered RHS Jewellers and threatened the shop owner with a hammer before making off on the bike with a quantity of jewellery from a window display.
It was taken from the Tynwald Street area and ridden down Westmoreland Road towards Circular Road just before 4pm - before later being recovered from the rear of Belmont Terrace.
Anyone who was in those areas, and saw the vehicle, has been asked to come forward and contact Police Headquarters on 631212, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
