Tonight's fireworks display in Douglas WILL be going ahead as planned, according to Douglas Borough Council.
The authority took to social media this morning to confirm the news.
Those driving to the occasion are being reminded parking will be free of charge at Shaw's Brow, Chester Street and Bottleneck from 6pm until Midnight, with motorists advised to avoid Douglas Promenade this evening because of expected congestion.
It's planned the judging of the best guy competition will take place 6pm and the fireworks display will start at 6.30pm.
