The Island's largest local authority has revealed its phone system costs more than £10,000 a year.
A Freedom of Information request asked for a breakdown on Douglas Council's telephone system and the cost of running it annually.
The local authority revealed in the response it has 191 phone extensions, 118 voice mailboxes and 250 direct dial numbers.
It also disclosed Sure Isle of Man provides the telephone system.
