Douglas council is asking people not to endanger its staff by putting needles or knives in recycling boxes.
It's after a worker found a carpet knife in a box during kerbside collection services yesterday.
On Facebook, the local authority said any such blades should be taken to a Civic Amenity Site and put in the right skip.
The council's waste team says it'll be speaking to the householder to offer advice.
