Police are warning pet owners not to leave their animals in cars during hot weather.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team took to social media to reiterate the message.
With a heatwave forecast this week, officers say never to leave your furry friends inside a hot vehicle.
The force says it only takes a couple of minutes for the situation to become fatal.
Anyone who sees a dog in distress is urged to call 999.
