Those walking their Dog out at Derbyhaven beach are asked not to disrupt Birds.
The beach has been a designated bird sanctuary since 1936 and is an important stopping off point for numerous species.
The animals use the sheltered coastline to re-fuel before continuing their long journey north and the number visiting will rise sharply in coming weeks.
Geoffrey Boot MHK, Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture, said: 'We ask people keep their distance as the birds feed and rest ahead of their migration, and that people keep their dogs under close control.'
