The Department of Infrastructure is asking people to reconsider driving this evening as road conditions worsen.
On Facebook, it says weather in the north and east of the Island means many roads are treacherous, and a number of vehicles are stuck.
It says gritters are working on routes, but a number of areas are hazardous.
