The Department of Infrastructure has unveiled plans for improved flood defences in Ramsey.
The department has submitted a planning application to build a new wall on West Quay along the town's harbour.
In its application, it says the scheme would also see the road reconstructed and new drainage installed.
And it adds a new seating area and glass wall will enhance the area's "sense of place".
