Motorists are being urged to ensure their vehicle tyres are fit for the road.
A recent routine check of vehicles parked along Douglas promenade found 15 had illegal tyres, posing a danger to themselves and other road users.
The owners had their details taken, with a call to present their cars for further inspection within seven days, if they fail to do so it becomes a matter for the police.
This type of enforcement will continue around the Island with hefty fines in place for those who continue to ignore warnings.
