Nearly £2.4m spent on high school plans

The government says it's spent almost £2.4 million on a project to replace a high school in the south of the Island.

Education Minister Daphne Caine gave the figures in response to a question for written reply.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked how much plans to replace Castle Rushen High School have cost since 2016.

Mrs Caine said no planning application has yet been submitted to the project, but £2,387,000 has been spent on project development, feasibility studies, master planning, design and consultancy fees so far.
