Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says his department is already considering new laws about mouldy homes - but legislation is already in place to help tackle the problem.
He faced a question about Glenfaba and Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan about the problem in the House of Keys this week.
Mr Crookall said the DOI is working on new legal standards for public sector homes, and will consider a Manx version of Awaab's Law, which was introduced in the UK last October.
But he added there are already laws in place:
