Finding £5 million of savings within the Department of Infrastructure will be ‘extremely challenging’ according to the Minister.
Over the next year, the department will be responsible for almost half of the entire savings needed across government.
Among the cost cutting measures is a reduction in the number of senior management posts and streamlining and sharing fleet and estate management services.
