The Department of Infrastructure 'does not support' the use of the Lord Street development site as an 'unmanaged car park.'
Minister Chris Thomas was asked a number of questions on the area in Tynwald this morning.
The site was purchased by developers in May 2020, and was used for emergency parking during the pandemic while the car park next to the Sea Terminal was used for border checks.
Mr Thomas says the department has been in talks with the owner about the continued 'unacceptable use of the site for vehicle parking.'
