Councillors in the capital have criticised government for ‘ignoring’ calls to replace a pedestrian footbridge on the TT course.
The Department of Infrastructure decided it was no longer necessary for a crossing on Glencrutchery Road.
Council Leader David Christian said it seemed a very strange decision considering it was 'previously deemed absolutely essential' by the department.
Other members called the bridge a ‘vital link’ from north Douglas to upper Douglas.
