Coastguards say a dog was swept away by a river during yesterday's heavy rain.
Officers from Peel and Ramsey teams were called to Ballaugh Glen At 10.45am yesterday after the dog and its owner were swept into the flooded river.
The owner managed to escape the water and was taken to hospital for a checkup.
However, a search of the river banks couldn't find the animal.
