A local authority says people should cut back their bush if it presents a danger to traffic.
Braddan Parish Commissioners took out adverts in the local media to warn of the dangers of overgrown hedges, trees and shrubs.
It says if foliage endangers or obstructs traffic or pedestrians, it has the power to step in and carry out the work itself – with the bill sent to the owner or occupier.
The board says people should be particularly aware of diseased plants or trees which could fall into a road or path.
