A man who struggled with bouncers and police at a Douglas nightclub has been banned from buying alcohol.
Andrew Thomas Georgeson of Seafield Avenue in Port St Mary appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour on licensed premises and resisting police on June 27 at the Courthouse on Athol Street.
The court heard he’d been asked to leave by door staff because of his behaviour but refused - his advocate told the hearing Georgeson’s stroke medication had mixed badly with alcohol.
At the time, he’d been serving a conditional discharge after an alcohol-related incident last January.
Mrs Hughes revoked that conditional discharge and put him on probation for a total of 12 months.
She also ordered him to pay £300 in costs at the rate of £10 per week from his benefits and banned him from entering licensed premises or buying alcohol for three months.
