The Department of Infrastructure will continue conversations with residents and business on Douglas Promenade over parking during the refurbishment.
Infrastructure Minister, MHK Ray Harmer, made the statement as he responded to a question from Douglas East MHK Clare Bettison in the House of Keys on Tuesday.
He says residents and businesses based on the prom with a parking permit will be able to use the temporary 2-hour disc zone on the walkway without time constraints whilst construction takes place.
He also revealed plans have been put forward to allow up to 51 vehicles to park on the Summerland site as part of the Douglas park and walk scheme which would be priced at £1 per day.
