A social media post has added weight to calls for legislation to protect disabled drivers parking in disabled bays.
The anonymous poster revealed that despite qualifying for a blue badge they have to often defend their right to park in a disabled bay as their disability may not be instantly obvious.
They said at times it has felt borderline abusive, and caused them great distress.
Their post was supported by a number of other people who had experienced similar treatment.
The consensus of the post and supporting comments was that they'd like to see it made a criminal offence for the public to make approaches such as these.
