Tynwald will consider the introduction of digital voting ahead of the next election in 2026.
MHK for Douglas North John Wannenburgh asked for an update for written answer, seeking to find out if its introduction is currently a priority.
If implemented in time it would see the public able to cast their vote using their smart phones.
Minister for the Cabinet Office Kate Lord-Brennan confirmed the electoral commission are considering it, and a report will be laid before Tynwald no later than March 2024.
