Digital policing strategy will cut 'red tape'

Police officers on the Isle of Man will be set free from 'unnecessary red tape' thanks to a digital overhaul.

The Isle of Man Constabulary has become the 13th police force to sign up to the CONNECT policing platform - a single operating system will replace almost 20 current systems:

That's Chief Constable Gary Roberts who says the new system will cut administration and paperwork and allow officers to spend more time on the beat.

The move is part of government's wider Digital Strategy - Mark Lewin is the director of Government Technology Services:
