Health Centre for North to be Build in Jurby
The Department of Health and Social Security are pressing ahead with plans for a new Health Centre in the North of the Island.
Despite the financial pressures on the Department the plans to build a new facility in Jurby will get the go ahead.
The new Health Centre will aim to serve the whole of the North of the Island, addressing the lack of adequate GP facilities in that area of the Island.
The financial issues currently affecting all departments have made a slight impact however, the building is now going to be smaller than initially hoped.
The new facility will be built on the site of the former Jurby Hotel, which was already in the ownership of the DHSS.
It’s envisioned construction will begin on the Building in two years time.
