The Social Care Minister says he will try to calm the nerves of those who have reacted angrily to the proposed Landlord and Tenants Bill.
The new bill would see a minimum set of standards and guidelines introduced that landlords would have to adhere to by law.
According to the department good landlords have nothing to worry about and it’s hoped it will make a small minority significantly up their game.
One of the criticisms levelled at the new bill is that it makes it illegal for landlords to refuse or stipulate no DHSS tenants in their properties:
