Ramsey Commissioners is calling on the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to allow a local football club to use an empty field on the old Albert Road School site.
The commissioners say the Lickney Fields have been out of use for a while and Ramsey AFC would be willing to maintain it and use it seasonally for football.
Geoff Court, Lead Member for Parks and Leisure says the request has been ‘ignored’ and hasn’t responded for ‘months’.
He says the youngsters at the club are a ‘credit’ to the town and deserve a new space to train:
