A government department has been told to reconsider a Freedom of Information request about £220,000 in bonuses paid to its staff over the last five years.
The Information Commissioner investigated after a member of the public complained about the Department for Enterprise's response to a Freedom of Information request.
It had asked for details of the bonuses - but DfE wouldn't release some information, saying salaries, dates and roles were personal information and so wouldn't be supplied..
The commissioner said the request should be reconsidered and a new response issued.
