The Department of Economic Development is no more, as its new name is approved.
The former economic department officially became the department for enterprise after being approved in Tynwald yesterday.
MHK Laurence Skelly says it's a big milestone in the development of the new department, transferring a number of existing functions to departments where they are better suited.
The new department will focus on business and tourist sectors on the Island and should be working fully by April 2018.
