Degree students given more options to extend study

Students gaining a 2:2 degree at university will be able to apply for funding to do a master's degree or a PHD. 

In Tynwald this week the Education and Children Minister was successful in moving that student awards be approved for postgraduates with a business case.
 
Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan questioned the change: 
 
 
Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with each one needing to show value to the Manx economy.
