With heavy snowfall set to hit the Island tomorrow a meeting is being held this afternoon to determine if schools will open.
The Met Office says it’s expecting ‘substantial snowfall’ accumulating over the course of the day.
It’s warning of bitterly cold temperatures with snow becoming persistent and likely to settle on lower ground.
The Department of Education and Children, the Met Office and the Department of Infrastructure will meet to discuss contingency plans.
A further announcement is expected at around 4pm.
