A local man has found a dead snake in a Christmas wreath.
Karl Gaskell and his wife Nicki had bought the decoration from their local co-op for £12.
When they noticed a strange smell they investigated further and found the dead reptile inside the bound straw of the wreath.
The Co-op has since apologised for the incident.
