The Minister of Community, Culture and Leisure says it would be easy to assume that his department has not been a success.
The department will be dissolved in April as part of plans to restructure government – with the various functions being split between the remaining departments.
Graham Cregeen says there have been difficult challenges to adapt to and services have been impacted more than any other due to government’s need to balance the budget.
However he says the department has actually exceeded any other in terms of improving efficiency:
