Children who go to school outside of their catchment area should make their own way to school.
That’s the view of the Community, Culture and Leisure Minister who says it’s part of the reason his department is losing money.
Graham Cregeen was quizzed in the House of Keys earlier this week as to what steps his department is taking to minimise the current half a million pound deficit.
He confirmed talks were ongoing between the Department of Education and Children in an effort to find potential savings.
