Second Day in Trial of Local Business Man and his Wife
It’s day two of the trial of local Tycoon Trevor Baines and his wife Wendy today.
Yesterday saw the trial get underway after a week of delays, the prosecution began by giving the jury a run down of the finer details of the case, identifying who the main people involved are.
68 year Trevor faces charges of money laundering, after it’s alleged he knowingly moved tens of millions of dollars around Island bank accounts for a business associate who had been involved in criminal activities.
His wife faces charges of false accounting.
The trial is expected to run for over a month.
