The Department of Infrastructure says it's closed Lezayre Road in Ramsey because of a dangerous tree.
The road is currently between Church Road and Glen Auldyn to while the Department of environment, Food and Agriculture's contractors fell the roadside tree.
Traffic is being diverted via Bowring Road, Jurby Road and St Jude's.
The Doi says it hopes to be able to reopen the road by 3.30pm.
