A Ramsey man's decision to overtake four vehicles on a blind bend on the Mountain Road has landed him in court.
39-year- old Robert Sidney Wibrow, of Churchtown, attempted the manoeuvre near Guthrie's Memorial on May 19.
When he was unable to complete the overtake he was forced to pull in sharply in front of another car.
At Douglas Courthouse last week Wibrow pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and having no tax or insurance.
His advocate told the court it was a "one-off miscalculation and error of judgement" but added his standard of driving did "fall below the standard of a careful and competent driver".
Social Enquiry Reports have been requested before Wibrow is sentenced on August 24 - he's been bailed until that date.
