Cyclists told they are not banned from promenade

Cyclists are being reassured that they have not been banned from using Douglas Promenade.

That's despite police last week telling people on social media that they were. 
 
Concerns had been sparked about the level of traffic between the war memorial and the Sea Terminal after the stretch was turned into a temporary car park. 
 
However the Department of Infrastructure says the police's information isn't correct - officers have since deleted their posts. 
 
Minister Phil Gawne says although normality has been restored people using the promenade for recreational activities need to keep safety in mind:
