A UCM student with special educational needs has won an award for her contribution towards Manx culture.
Amy Struthers was awarded a North American Manx Award, which honours the achievements of children and young people who have made an outstanding contribution in areas like language, music and the arts.
Amy is in her final year of part time provision on the General Studies course, and works in the Annie Gill Café at UCM as part of her studies.
Alison Higson, Programme Manager for Foundation Learning, says she approaches every challenge with a positive and determined attitude, and the award is very well deserved.
