As the Isle of Man seems on the path to become the first country in the British Isles to introduce Assisted Dying laws, Jersey are hot on our heels, progressing their own legislation.
This week they had their own assisted dying proposals deemed ethically appropriate by medical law experts, whilst a citizens jury also strongly recommended the law change.
Legislation that enables choice for terminally ill, mentally competent adults, including those with cancer, motor neurone disease and other illnesses, is tried-and-tested in Australia, New Zealand and parts of the US.
