Creative students awarded £10,000 towards studies

The winners of the 2021/2022 IOM Arts Council student awards

The Isle of Man Arts Council has announced the winners of their student awards for 2021/22.

Joshua Morrison, Jack Gentry and Kizzie Puzzar are all receiving £10,000 to support them in their further studies in various artistic fields.

Joshua received the Jonathan Gollow Award for Performing Arts and will be going to the Rambert Conservatoire in London to study Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and hopes to encourage young boys to follow their passion for dance.

Jack was awarded the Norman Sayle Award for Visual Art and Literature before he starts at Cardiff Metropolitan University to study a BA (Hons) degree in Product Design.

The Isle of Man Arts Council Award was given to Kizzie, who will be doing BA (Hons) in the Music Business and Event Management at the BIMM Institution (British and Irish Modern Music) in Brighton.

Chairman of the Arts Council - Ms Marlene Maska MLC - says she's proud they are able to offer support to these very talented young people and offers her warmest congratulations to the recipients.

The awards are named in memory of former Isle of Man Arts Council members, music promoter Jonathan Gollow and artist Norman Sayle and are awarded annually.
